Spring Flower Show

Sidmouth Garden Club put on a splendid Show on Maunday Thursday- 5th April 2007.

The perfume from the flowers was very distinctive. It was a fine display all round. The exhibits for single Camellia bloom shows the weather has been perfect for them. Many of the visitors enjoyed tea, coffee and cakes made by the club members.

To Metre or Not to Metre

We are wondering whether to move house. We'll get estate agents in to give us a valuation and then look around the area.

Thinking of estate agents and house details - I wondered whether they put the measurements now in metric or whether rooms are measured in good old fashioned feet and inches. If it is the new EU system then it will take me ages to sift through details working out whether the place will be big enough or too large. I'll have to convert everything! In feet/inches I'm able to visual exactly what I'd be getting but metric!! GGrh. Peter Hitchen (from the Mail on Sunday) on his blog sums it up perfectly. I think it is shame that the Metric Martyr wasn't given more support. And that he died at such a young age. We should vote UKIP - if only they were not a bunch of fools.
