This is the first posting for a resident's view of Sidmouth. It may be of interest to anyone new to town; people wishing to relocate and to holiday makers visiting Sidmouth in East Devon.
They say that Sidmouth is "God's Waiting Room". A beautiful waiting room it is too. In fact it's so lovely people come here, settle down and forget why they came. You don't hear any complaints of the long wait. Most people are too busy enjoying the sea, shops and social activities. The beauty of Sidmouth is that the town and shops are very close to the Esplanade. One minute you can be enjoying a stormy walk by the sea then nip across the road to seek shelter in one of the many tea/coffee shops or a leisurely browse around the many individual shops.
